Well I know it sounds like old hat but the boys again had a hard fought weekend with a second place finish in the Little Falls tournament Friday night was a nail biter with a one to one tie with Little Falls with a last minute goal to tie the game. Saturday was a clean and clear win over Long Prairie with a final score of 12 to 2. Sunday gave way to the team’s first loss with a nail biter to the end in a 2 to 1 defeat by Armstrong. The Lightning has a 3-2-1 record this season. This weekend we play in one of our two home tournaments with our opening game against Becker Big Lake, the Lightning also play Brainerd this week on Tuesday at 7:00 in Brainerd so if you’re out Shopping for the holiday’s and want to catch a great hockey game Tuesday night 7:00 o’clock Brainerd Civic Center is the place to be

Pipe Ringer
Dane "The Pipe Ringer" Reimringer is the Squirt B player this week, Dane is one of Four Boys and one Daughter to mother Kari Reimringer Danes three Step Brothers are Jordan, Ryan, and Chris who is presently serving our country in Kuwait and his little sister Bella. Dane and Bella’s Father is Aaron Reimringer. Dane is also an uncle to his brother Chris’s Son Cyrus. Dane is an excellent Student at Eagle View Elementary School in Pequot Lakes; he enjoys playing the X-Box and outdoor activities along with being in Football, And Baseball. Dane is currently playing Center with the team but has played left wing also he has enjoyed success this year with scoring quit a few goals. Dane’s Favorite hockey player is Patrick Kane of the Chicago Black Hawks. In closing I know we are very fortunate to have such a Great little man on our team Thank You Dane! The wall
Samuel “The Wall” Lemieur is our featured athlete of the week. Sam is one of four children to Tim and Michelle Lemieur he is also a triplet with Seth and Ari Seth plays on the squirt B team as well Ari plays for the 12u girl’s team his older brother Luke (13) plays for the Peewee A team. Sam is a active athlete playing three sports football, baseball and of course hockey. Sam’s favorite athlete is Ryan Miller who is a goaltender for the Buffalo Sabers. Sam is a funny guy who also likes to fish and draw he has art work published in Lets Play Hockey. Along with being a excellent athlete Sam enjoys school, science being his favorite subject (good work buddy). In the net this year Sam has had tremendous success for our team with a outstanding save percentage only allowing six goals in three games with one shutout already under his belt Sam likes to take a little time before each game and meditate to focus for the game.
